Catch of the Central Coast 2016
4th Annual Fundraiser
The Central Coast Aquarium is excited to announce the 4nd annual “Catch of the Central Coast” fundraiser dinner, Saturday September 10th, 5:00 PM at the Harford Pier in Avila Beach.
This year guests will enjoy a unique setting of spectacular ocean views while dining over the water on the Harford Pier at the Port San Luis Harbor in Avila Beach. This limited seating event will include live music and both a live and silent auction. Guests will be able to choose from a locally sourced sustainable seafood dinner or non-seafood options, complete with local wine. “Our goal is to inspire people to think, act and to feel connected to the ocean and the life within it,” says executive director Tara Malzone. “Holding our fundraiser fifteen feet above the oceans surface is the perfect place to celebrate marine education.”
Catch of the Central Coast is a benefit for the Central Coast Aquarium (CCA) a San Luis Obispo County non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to cultivate a community dedicated to ocean stewardship through education, engagement and action.
Many locals experience the CCA through its Avila Beach location and public aquarium. But our primary mission is to serve the community as a marine science education center for children. The organization has been serving school children across six counties for 20 years.
The CCA is a valuable community resource providing marine programs to over 60,000 kids between Monterey and Santa Barbara.
