The Aquarium has two special event venues that can be combined with a tour of our Aquarium Exhibit Hall to make for a unique, one-of-a-kind, memorable event! And, the rental fee you pay goes a long way to support the operation of the Central Coast Aquarium, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, by providing funds for marine science learning for school students and the general public plus animal care.
Our new outdoor patio venue is ready for your rental! We provide the ocean view and beautifully landscaped space and you can custom design your event the way you like by renting tables, chairs, lights, decorations photo booths, DJs, dancefloors and more. Up to 216 people can be seated for dinner in the patio and 300 people can mingle at a cocktail style event.
Of course, the venue is available for smaller gatherings, too. The patio offers a stage area and access to electricity. In addition, your guests can pose near the gorgeous murals painted by artist, Colleen Gnos, and funded by the Avila Beach Community Foundation and its many donors.
If a smaller, indoor venue is desired, our second-floor classroom can accommodate 65 people seated in rows or around 40 seated at six-foot tables. This venue is popular now as a birthday party venue for children…or the young at heart of any age.
Beer and wine are allowed with proper permitting but no alcohol or smoking allowed. Also, you can add on a visit to the Aquarium’s Exhibit Hall. These venues are used first for the programs and priorities of the Central Coast Aquarium but we are more than happy to share the space when it’s not needed for educational activities.
