ECOSLO's Seas to Trees Countywide Clean-up

CCA is a host site for ECOSLO's Seas to Trees Countywide Clean-up Event. CCA will coordinate divers to remove debris from under the Harford Pier beginning at 7am. And, we invite the public to help clean up Avila starting at 9:30am at the Aquarium. All participants will be treated to a BBQ lunch after the clean-up and can visit our Info Fair in the Ocean Discovery Park.

Night at the Aquarium & CCA 25th Birthday Party

We will be celebrating our landmark birthday and, YES, cake is included. Kids of all ages can have fun with the BIG BLOCKS on loan to us by the SLO Children's Museum. We will have tours of the Aquarium and end the evening with a big screen, outdoor movie. Bring your own picnic, low back chairs or blankets, and we will provide the popcorn.

Sunset Hours in July

We will be open until 6pm every Friday in July. Admission is $2.50 (in honor of 25 years!) from 4pm to 6pm and includes a Swell Shark Encounter at 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Visit us on your way to the Avila Beach Farmers' Market!

Visit a Tidepool with CCA Marine Science Experts

Meet us on-site in Shell Beach at South Palisades Park at 4:30 pm and we will explore the tidepools together. CCA's professional staff will show you things you had no idea are there! NOTE: this experience includes walking on stairs as well as uneven, slippery surfaces. Be prepared. This is a free event.

CATCH of the Central Coast

CCA's annual fundraising dinner will be held in our Ocean Discovery Park. Join us to celebrate 25 years of success and raise funds to ensure we continue reaching and teaching people of all ages about the wonders of marine science and the importance of cherishing and protecting the world's oceans. Event begins at 5pm and details will be released soon.
