Explore, learn, and discover marine science at the Central Coast Aquarium this coming summer. Campers spend the week engaged in hands-on marine science activities such as exploring marine habitats, interacting with live animals, and participating in discovery labs.
We are able to accommodate campers between ages 5-14 years throughout the summer. Each Sea Explorers (5-10 y/o) camp will be further split into age groups for activities and focus on a specific theme, but all campers will have the opportunity to engage in tidepooling, dissections, and interactions with wild and aquarium marine life. Teen campers (11-14 years) also get to participate in a floating lab, kayaking, fishing, and a research-based project of the campers’ choice.
Camp runs from 9am-3pm with the option of full day or half day. Half day camp finishes at 12pm. Each camper will get a shirt with enrollment, and are asked to wear their camp shirt everyday. Snack will be provided in the morning, but full day campers need to bring a lunch. Most days we go to the beach, so a change of clothes is recommended, along with sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. Feel free to call or email if you have any other questions.
New this year: We will be offering after-camp care for $15 until 4pm or $30 until 5pm. This time will just be coloring, crafts, movies, and books in our upstairs classroom.
